Counselor-in-Training: See detail in about this internship program located in our forms section or click here and go to page. (must be 14-16 yrs. old)

Group Leader/Counselor: Supervise 15-18 campers with a co- counselor following pre scheduled activities for specific group based on a 8-10 month age range. Campers are placed in 15 groups ranging in age from 5.5-13 years old. (must be collage age and above) Currently available.

Pre-school Assistant Teacher: Assist and lead activities, coordinated with Head teacher, for children in one of three groups ages range from 2.10-53.5 years old. (must have educational background and classroom experience) Currently available.

Pre-school Head Teacher: Supervise staff and children assigned to an age group and work with the team to organize lesson plans and activities based on themes using outdoor facilities and camp resources. (must be DOE early childhood certified with classroom experience) Currently available.

Sports Specialist/Instructor: Teach non-traditional games and traditional sports age groups (15-18/grp.) utilizing indoor and outdoor facilities available to campers. (must have versatile background in teach sports activities to young and older age groups)

Art Specialist/Instructor: Teach and present activities to campers based on preselected themes using a variety of materials.(must have versatile background in teach art to young and older age groups) Currently available.

Associate Camp Director: Oversee the supervision and training of staff while working to implement program goals.(must have supervisory experience in a camp setting and able to train staff in a broad range of topics based on ACA standards) Currently available.

  • Part-time Preschool and Afterschool Staff Positions
  • Preschool Head Teacher: Works with young children throughout the year or during the summer months in one or more ACT Programs that aims to meet children's cognitive, emotional, social and physical needs while supporting parents to rear their child in an urban setting. Enhances the quality of activities offered to youngsters at A.C.T. serving children and families on the Upper West Side and Harlem areas of Manhattan, background in natural science and ecology is preferred. Requirements: Candidate must have a BA in Education and/or an NYS Early Childhood license or equivalent; two years of group teaching experience with children under six years old; familiar with PC platform using Microsoft office; familiar with DOH regulations, excellent communication skills, must meet Department of Health requirement for Head teacher: DOI fingerprints, annual medical, NYS certification and others that may arise. (Salary in 40's depending on experience if full time. Excellent benefits & 401(K) plan.) Salary contingent on length of position and experience.
  • Assistant Teacher: Work with Head Teacher to implement preschool program. Students attend on a part-time and full-time basis ages 2.7-5.0 years. Experience is preferred: ( Part-time available. See description above)
  • Parent-Toddler Instructor: Leads parent-toddler classes in the mornings. Experience is required. Compensation is dependent upon experience and total number of hour per week.
  • ASP Counselor/Group leaders: Supervises school-age children in an after school program. Must be over 18 years old. Candidates must lead and organize activities, work cooperatively with program specialist and develop team spirit among group members. Experience preferred, training provided. hourly rate varies based on college credits and work related experience.(Part-time available.)
